I use a Delta approved, positive reinforcement model when designing and delivering all puppy and dog training classes.
To be a good positive trainer, we follow 3 golden rules:
* always reward behaviour you want
* try to ignore unwanted behaviour
* divert unwanted behaviour that can't be ignored
People and dogs, and most animals will repeat an action that brings a reward.
All we need to do is harness that, and understand what he/she thinks is rewarding.
All dogs understand that food is good
Most are keen for attention in the form of pats, eye contact, and your voice
Many love a game with a toy or a ball
My training will show you how to use these rewards to build a better bond with your dog, so that he/she strives to please you.
Most dogs really love the interactive time spent training with you. It becomes their favourite game!
