If you or I decided to master the Russian Classics…in Russian, it may take a little time!
Firstly, we need to get back to basics: remembering how to learn
We can identify some reward that your dog would love to work for
We can remind him or her about some of those basic first lessons to re-motivate him or her
Next we need to identify what we need to learn….or unlearn
Are we teaching a new behaviour - perhaps some cool trick?
Are we trying to stop something happening?
Then we need to identify the small steps we need to take, and how to build that up to useful knowledge
(in our analogy: learn the alphabet, form the words, read the text, analyse the book)
